Interview Coach London

Why I am the Right Person to Help You Succeed

I have been in your shoes — facing more than 60 interviews over the course of my 20-year finance career. I wasn’t always the most technical person in the room, but I knew how to perform under pressure. That skill helped me stand out from 80 candidates to become Head of Credit Analysis at Barclays Corporate Banking.

From call centre to senior leadership roles at Barclays, a Soros-owned private equity firm, and Visa Europe, my 20-year finance and banking experience allows me to provide coaching with insider insight and proven interview strategies.

Having been both a candidate and a senior hiring manager, I understand what employers truly look for. I now use that experience to help professionals succeed, whether you're preparing for interviews, changing careers, stepping into leadership, or navigating executive-level challenges.

Clients come to me for many reasons: they feel uncomfortable talking about themselves, speak too quickly, struggle to present their strengths, lack confidence, need structure and accountability, or just want a trusted sounding board. Through interview coaching, career coaching, career change coaching, leadership coaching, executive coaching, and mentoring, I help you cut through the noise and focus on what works.

Q: Why do clients choose you over other interview coaches?
A: Because I combine proven HR expertise with first-hand leadership experience in top-tier finance — meaning I know both how interviews are run and how hiring decisions are made.

I offer a tailored 1 on 1 interview coaching solution to help you shine - reducing nerves, boosting confidence, and mastering questions, ensuring you present your best self in any interview situation.

A great interview performance is rarely about being the smartest person in the room — it’s about showing the right strengths in the right way, under pressure.

Taking a hands-on approach, I provide detailed written feedback and personalised exercise recommendations after each session. Between sessions, I carefully review your drafts and progress, offering constructive and valuable feedback. This holistic approach allows me to support you not only through the interview but throughout your broader professional journey.

I consider myself a dedicated coach, committed to supporting you in every step of your entire journey - not just during our scheduled sessions.
It is also worth noting that you only pay for sessions you book.

My Expertise and Credentials

I am a job interview expert, and I have received professional HR training and certifications during my time in banking.

I know how to get people hired and how decisions are made at the highest level of organisations. I have experience working with clients at various levels, from graduates and early-career analysts to seasoned managers and senior leaders, in both small and large organisations.

Q: What makes you different from other interview coaches?
A: I don’t just teach theory — I’ve lived the process, progressing from analyst to senior leadership in some of the biggest financial organisations in the UK and globally.

Why Interview Coaching Impacts Your Whole Career

I firmly believe that professional interview coaching significantly increases your chances of landing a job offer.

When clients come to me, they often have a lightbulb moment - like a switch has been flipped - and suddenly they clearly understand where they went wrong and how to fix it. This newfound understanding not only empowers them to confidently succeed in their job interviews but also equips them with essential communication skills and self-confidence that benefit their workplace performance, career growth, and personal life.

Interview coaching is not just about getting the next job — it’s about building the skills and confidence to thrive in every career challenge that follows.

My coaching philosophy is simple: Interview coaching is just the beginning. The skills you develop - confidence, communication, and self-awareness - are foundation tools that empower your entire career journey and personal growth.
As Viktor E. Frankl wrote in Man's Search for Meaning, ''When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.'' This idea lies at the heart of my approach. I am here to support you not only in landing the job but also in adapting, growing, and thriving long after - helping you navigate change even when circumstances feel beyond your control.

Common Interview Challenges and Solutions

Lack of Structure and Purpose

One of the most common issues I see with clients is a lack of preparation when it comes to presenting their behavioural skills and talking about their past experiences. Whether it is projects they have delivered, successes they have had, or accomplishments they are proud of, clients often struggle to organise these examples in a way that resonates with interviewers. Without a clear structure or framework to fall back on, nerves can take over, and they either lose track of what they want to say or repeat the same one or two stories.

Q: How do I stop rambling in interviews?
A: Use a simple framework like STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to give clear, concise, and compelling answers.

Passive Interview Approach

Many clients treat interviews like a test rather than an opportunity to showcase and celebrate their experiences. They go in without a clear goal or purpose, simply answering questions without steering the conversation to their strengths. This passive approach often means they surrender control of the interview to the interviewer. Instead of directing the conversation, they become reactive, which leads to missed opportunities to highlight key skills or gather insights.

An interview is not an exam — it’s a business conversation where you get to present your value.

Failure to Engage and Ask Questions

Another missed opportunity is when clients do not take the time to observe and listen closely to the interviewer or ask questions to gain insight into the type of candidate they are really seeking. This does not only apply to the interview itself but extends throughout the entire process—from speaking with recruiters or in-house HR professionals to engaging with anyone who supports the hiring process. Each interaction is an opportunity to gather insights and align yourself with the expectations of the role and company. Nerves, lack of confidence, and poor preparation often prevent candidates from taking these steps, which turns the interview into more of a test rather than a two-way business meeting.

Q: What questions should I ask in an interview?
A: Ask questions that uncover the employer’s challenges, culture, and success measures — then connect your skills directly to those needs.

Recycling the Same Stories

A major challenge for many interviewees is running out of things to talk about. This can be particularly challenging in leadership interviews. When it happens, candidates end up circling back to the same one or two behavioural stories they have prepared, making them seem one-dimensional, nervous, and unprepared. This not only limits their ability to showcase the full range of their abilities but also gives the impression that they are not a good fit for the role.

Variety in your examples keeps the interviewer engaged and proves the depth of your experience.

How My Coaching Helps

I tackle these challenges head-on by providing a systematic, tailored framework to help you present yourself effectively during interviews.

Q: How does your coaching improve interview performance?
A: By giving you structure, building your confidence, and showing you how to take control of the conversation so you can highlight your best strengths.

My coaching ensures you enter the interview room with a clear structure and purpose, knowing exactly which aspects of your experience and skills to highlight. By building a robust narrative around your career accomplishments, you will feel confident and in control of the conversation. You will also learn how to engage with the interviewer, ask the right questions, and assess whether the role is truly a good fit for you. After all, an interview is a two-way process—it is not just about them interviewing you; you are also evaluating if you would want to work for them. This shift in mindset helps reduce nerves and increases confidence, enabling you to showcase your full range of skills and stand out as a dynamic, well-prepared candidate.

Ultimately, preparation is key because you get one shot at the job interview. With strong competition, working with a job interview expert or career coach can give you a crucial edge.

While working together to improve your performance, you will get access to me not just during the 60-minute sessions, but we will swap many emails and you may call me 7 days a week when it is urgent.

My clients don’t just get a one-hour coaching slot — they get ongoing access to advice and feedback when it matters most.

I love helping people and seeing them make progress, it's what makes me tick. My love for helping people is strongly rooted in the way I define success in both a career and life in general. Find out more about my philosophy here.
