Interview Coaching UK
Are you looking to excel in interviews, boost your confidence, sharpen your leadership presence, or take your career to the next level?
Whether you need expert coaching for interviews, presentations, public speaking, executive performance, or career progression, I offer tailored support to ensure you succeed.
Q: How can interview coaching help me?
A: Interview coaching helps you prepare answers, reduce nervousness, and develop a confident, authentic presence that resonates with interviewers.
I help people like you find their voice and deliver better performances when it matters most.
Finding your voice in an interview means speaking with clarity, confidence, and purpose — and leaving a lasting impression.
Achieving a better performance in job interviews involves reducing nervousness, boosting confidence, enhancing communication skills, increasing situational awareness, and improving your ability to decipher unspoken cues from interviewers. Together, we will refine these aspects for your interview success.

Q: How can I improve my interview performance?
A: Improving interview performance starts with building confidence, mastering communication skills, and learning to read the unspoken cues of your interviewers.

Finding your voice in interviews means telling stories that are both memorable and relevant to the role. Using the STAR Methodology for Interviews, I will guide you in creating a clear and comprehensive context for your interviewers, making their job easier and ensuring your stories leave a lasting impression.

Q: What is the STAR method and why is it important in interviews?
A: The STAR method gives your answers structure, clarity, and impact, helping interviewers remember you for the right reasons.

Q: How should I answer “Tell me about yourself” in an interview?
A: Keep it short, relevant, and achievement-focused — share your career journey, your technical expertise, and the soft skills that make you effective, like teamwork, communication, and accountability.

Q: How do I answer “Why should we hire you?” in an interview?
A: Link both your technical skills and your people skills to the company’s needs — show you can deliver results quickly, collaborate well, and leave things better than you found them.

Q: How should I talk about my strengths and weaknesses in interviews?
A: Share strengths that mix role-specific skills with qualities like being a team player or strong communicator. For weaknesses, reframe them as improvement opportunities — for example, “Here’s an area I started working on six months ago, here’s the progress I’ve made, and here are the next milestones I’m aiming for.” This shows self-awareness, commitment, and a clear growth journey.
Effectively selling yourself requires showcasing quantifiable results achieved in various projects and roles. Employers remember candidates who can clearly explain the measurable impact of their work. I will help you highlight your value through concrete accomplishments, making your skills and expertise shine during interviews.
Mastering career transitions and explaining reasons for leaving a job confidently, without hesitation, and with precision, is essential. Confidently explaining your career moves shows employers you are in control of your professional journey. Through personalised coaching, you will learn how to navigate these topics with ease, ensuring you present yourself as the ideal candidate for any role.
Perfecting challenging and personal interview questions, such as inquiries about your weaknesses or past failures, involves training you to reword the questions in your mind, transforming them into more manageable queries. Reframing tough interview questions helps you answer with confidence while still addressing what the interviewer really wants to know. With this technique, you can respond confidently to the revised question while still addressing the essence of what was asked. This nuanced approach ensures that you answer the interviewer's query effectively and professionally, highlighting your expertise and suitability for the role.
I offer a tailored solution that enhances all aspects of your interview performance.

STAR keeps your answers structured, memorable, and directly relevant to the role you want.
Skilfully selling yourself during a job interview can greatly increase your chances of being hired.
Here is why it matters:
Have a Clear Purpose: Enter the interview with a clear agenda to demonstrate what you can contribute to the organisation. Understand the issues they face and illustrate how you can help solve them.
Avoid Passivity: Interviews often become one-sided, resembling question-and-answer sessions. Many candidates mistakenly adopt a passive stance, merely responding to questions as if in an exam, hoping for a job offer.
Seize Control: I have observed many candidates who passively answer questions instead of steering the conversation. They miss opportunities to showcase their skills or align themselves with the job requirements.
Engage in a Conversation: Job interviews are essentially conversations where control is negotiated. The goal is to transform the interview into a lively discussion, where both parties ask questions and openly discuss topics. If you do not aim for this open dialogue, you risk being forgettable and missing out on a job offer, especially for mid to senior-level positions.
Remember, being proactive and engaging in a genuine dialogue can make you stand out and significantly improve your chances of securing the job you desire.

As a result, I strongly believe that coaching for interviews has to involve a lot of practice interviews or mock interviews to ensure the best possible preparation for your next live interview. My interview and career coaching sessions resemble interactive 1 on 1 workshops. They provide a secure environment for us to explore what works best for you given your individual situation.

How Mock Interviews Reveal Your Improvement Opportunities
During a job mock interview I will be able to identify improvement opportunities relating to the structure of your responses, the pace of your delivery, and many other aspects of your performance such as presenting yourself effectively, building a strong rapport with the interviewer, good body language, and most importantly, your mindset prior and during the interview.
Q: Why should I do a mock interview before my real one?
A: Mock interviews give you a safe space to practise, receive feedback, and fix performance gaps before the real interview.

Mindset is as important as preparation — managing your state before and during the interview can be the deciding factor in your success.
